Product Overview

Steel-lined PTFE pipes are a type of high-performance composite pipeline, made from a carbon steel or stainless steel outer shell lined with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, commonly known as "Teflon") material. It combines the mechanical strength of metal pipes with the excellent corrosion resistance of PTFE, and is widely used in the transportation of strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, and high-purity media.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance

PTFE lining can withstand almost all strong corrosive media (such as concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, aqua regia, etc.), and its corrosion resistance is far superior to materials like stainless steel and FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic).

High and Low Temperature Resistance

Wide operating temperature range (-196℃ to +250℃), suitable for extreme working conditions.

High Purity and Non-stick Property

The smooth surface of PTFE is not prone to scaling, making it suitable for transporting high-purity media in food, pharmaceutical, and other industries.

High Mechanical Strength

The metal outer shell (carbon steel/stainless steel) provides good compression and impact resistance, making it suitable for high-pressure piping systems.

Structure Types

Molded Lining : PTFE is tightly bonded to the steel pipe through high-temperature molding, suitable for small and medium diameter pipes.

Wrapped Lining : PTFE film is wound and then sintered to form the lining, suitable for large diameter or complex shaped pipes.

Loose Sleeve Lining : PTFE pipe material is directly inserted into the steel pipe, which has lower cost but weaker negative pressure resistance.

Diameter Range : DN15～DN1000 (customization supported).

Pressure Rating : PN0.6～4.0MPa (according to design requirements).

Connection Method : Flange connection, threaded connection, welded type, etc.

Selection Guide

The lining process and metal material should be comprehensively selected based on media characteristics (concentration, temperature), pressure, installation environment, etc. For special working conditions, reinforced lining or external anti-corrosion treatment can be customized.
